Organization

  • Two successful membership campaigns with 65 members

  • Recognized as a 2004 National Main Street Program by the National Main Street Center

  • Designed logo and slogan for Main Street Macon

  • Developed a brochure with information on Main Street Macon's mission, purpose and membership

  • Main Street Macon is a proud partner with the following organizations:

            Mississippi Main Street Association

            National Main Street Center

            Noxubee County Chamber of Commerce

            Noxubee County Extension Service

            Noxubee County Historical Society

Design

  • Conversion of vacant lot into mini-park

  • Input given to property owners for building rehabilitation

  • Purchase of 15 trash receptacles and four park benches

  • Purchase of 24 patriotic banners

  • Display of Christmas tree in mini-park

  • Display of fall decorations at every corner of downtown

  • Maintenance of downtown planters - Rearrangement of shrubs and planting of seasonal flowers.

  • The Pink Line Project:  Saving Lives, Saving Communities on October 18, 2003

  • Membership Drive Reception on March 24, 2004
